How to export your collections

You can download your collections as a file, as a backup or to use somewhere else.

Choose what to export

  • One collection: open its ··· menu and click Export.

  • Several collections: hover each one and tick its checkbox, then click Export in the bar at the bottom.

  • A whole workspace: click Settings at the bottom of the left sidebar. Under your workspace's name, click Preferences, then click Export next to Export Data.

Then click Download next to the format you want:

  • JSON: best for moving your collections to another Toby account. It keeps notes and tags.
  • HTML: a bookmarks file you can import into a browser.
  • TXT: an editable list of your collections and their links.

Toby exports one workspace at a time. To back up everything, export each workspace.
