To provide features like AI Naming, AI Grouping, and AI Sorting, Toby’s AI only looks at a limited set of information directly related to organizing your tabs.
Specifically, Toby’s AI may read:
Website titles of tabs you’ve saved in Toby
Collection titles you’ve created
Your feedback on AI suggestions, such as thumbs up or thumbs down
This information helps Toby understand patterns and suggest better names or groupings.
That’s it.
What Toby’s AI Does Not Read
Toby does not read or access:
The content inside webpages
Form inputs, passwords, or private messages
Your browsing history
Personal files, emails, or documents
Anything you haven’t explicitly added to Toby
If it’s not saved in Toby, it’s not used by our AI features.
Your Data Is Not Sold
We want to be very clear about this:
We do not sell your data.
We do not share your data with advertisers.
We do not use your data to train third‑party models.
Your information stays private and is used only to power Toby features you choose to use. We've never sold data, and thanks to the support of our paying users, we're able to continue this practice.
