AI Grouping

In this article

Smart group sorts the tabs open in a window into named, colored Chrome tab groups. Toby suggests the groups, you check them, and Chrome groups your tabs. Nothing is saved to Toby, and no tab is closed.

Smart group is one of Toby's Smart features, part of the Productivity and Team plans. To learn what Toby sends to suggest groups, see Toby AI Practices.

Grouping open tabs

  1. In the open tabs panel on the right, hover the window you want to tidy and click Smart group, the sparkles icon. Or click the Toby icon in Chrome's toolbar, open Group Tabs and click Smart group.

  4. Click Group Tabs.

You need at least two open tabs. Pinned tabs stay where they are.
