Why is Toby moving to new paid plans?
To keep Toby alive and thriving, and for our small team of six to keep working on Toby, we need your support through our new paid plans. This shift is essential to covering our operational costs, fairly compensating our team, and ensuring that we can continue to innovate and improve Toby. This shift will allow us to cover operational costs and ensure Toby’s future.
What happens if I don’t upgrade?
If you choose not to upgrade, you’ll be automatically shifted into our Starter plan by November 12, 2024. You’ll still be able to see and interact with all of your tabs, even if you have more than 60 tabs saved. While you won’t be able to add new tabs until you reduce your tabs to below 60, we’re allowing continued access to ensure this transition feels as smooth as possible for you.
Why can’t I see the changes yet?
If you don’t see the changes applied immediately, please update your extension. If you continue not seeing them, please reach out to us at support@gettoby.com.
Are the plans Organization based or user based?
Each of the plans are Organization based.
How long do I have to decide?
By November 12, 2024, otherwise you will be automatically shifted into our Starter plan.
What are the paid plan options?
When looking at the plans, please note that each of the plans are Organization based.

Productivity Plan: $6/month per member (or $4.50/month if billed yearly) – includes unlimited tabs, advanced search, and a remove duplicates feature.

What happens to my saved tabs if I cancel or downgrade to the Starter plan?
If you have under 60 saved tabs, there will be no change.
If you have over 60 saved tabs, you won’t be able to add new tabs until you reduce your tabs to below 60. We’re allowing continued access to already saved tabs to ensure this transition feels as smooth as possible for you.
Can I export my saved tabs if I decide to leave Toby?
Yes, you can export all your saved tabs. Instructions on how to export your data can be found in our Help Center. We export in HTML, JSON, or txt.
Can I expense Toby as a business tool?
Since Toby is a productivity tool, you may be able to expense it but this is up to the discretion of each workplace.
What’s the difference between the Productivity Plan and the Team Plan?
The Productivity Plan is designed for individuals or small teams who want unlimited space to save their tabs, organize their tabs and boost efficiency. The Team Plan is geared toward larger teams and includes additional support like SSO, priority support, and centralized billing.
Will I lose my tabs if I don’t upgrade?
No. If you downgrade to the Starter plan, you can still see and interact with all your tabs, even if you have over 60. However, you won’t be able to add new tabs until your total is below 60. We're offering continued access to help make the transition as smooth as possible.
How do I know which plan is right for me?
If you’re an individual looking to organize your personal or work life with unlimited tabs and advanced features, the Productivity Plan is the best choice.
If you’re part of a larger team or need features like SSO, centralized billing, and priority support, the Team Plan is the right fit.
